Why Get a New Heater?

A new furnace is certainly an investment! We understand that, which is why we want you to make the best choice possible for you and your family. We would be happy to evaluate your current heater and let you know what we think the best option is for you. We promise that we will give you an honest and straightforward answer.

You can also evaluate your heater yourself, based on the following ideas.

  • How often do you have to repair your heater? If you are repairing your heater every few months during the cold season, it’s time to think about a new one. Eventually, it will stop working entirely or you will spend so much money repairing it that you actually spend more than the cost of a new heater. Save yourself the hassle and save your money with a new heater.
  • How efficient is your heater? If your heater is older, it wasn’t made to be as energy efficient as the newer models. In addition, heaters tend to get less efficient as they get older. These two together mean that you could be spending quite a bit more than you need to when you’re heating your house this winter. Your new heater may eventually pay for itself in energy savings alone.
  • How old is your heater? Most furnaces are made to last between 15 and 20 years. If yours is within this age frame, it’s time to think about a new heater. All furnaces eventually die, and that can leave you uncomfortably cold for several days. Replace your heater before it comes to that point, and you won’t have to go without heat for very long.
  • Has your heater been properly maintained? If you are the only owner of your current furnace and you have maintained it once or twice a year since it was installed, it could run for a long time. If you haven’t properly maintained it, though, or you don’t know how well it was maintained, it may be time to replace it. Get a new one, take good care of it, and you probably won’t have to worry about it for years.

When it’s time for a new heater, we’ll be sure that you get the one you need. We’ll take into account energy efficiency, the size of your home, your budget, and more. Then we’ll help you choose the perfect heater for you and your family. Once it’s installed, you can rest easy all winter long.
